Why did I buy this movie?

The Fugitive is one of many movies released in the 90s based on a 60s TV show, which I believe is why my parents rented this one to watch as a family. As is usually the case when you're 9 years old, a lot of the movie blows right over your head; in the years between then and now, as an adult, it's become one of my favourite movies and a classic Harrison Ford venture.
